What to expect

At the North Main Church of Christ, we strive to be true worshippers of God,  not self. Because of this, the elements of our worship are concerned first and foremost with what pleases God, as a result we too are encouraged. For more information about our services read the following verses and always feel free to come see us with any questions you may have.

Singing

addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.

– Ephesians 5:19–21

Offering

Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you also are to do. On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come.

– 1 Corinthians 16:1–2

Praying

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.

– Acts 2:42

Preaching

On the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul talked with them, intending to depart on the next day, and he prolonged his speech until midnight.

– Acts 20:7

Lord's Supper

For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

– 1 Corinthians 11:23–26
