Malachi 7 Answers.jpg
Through Malachi, the Lord answers seven arguments from the people of Israel concerning their broken relationship with the Creator of the universe. For the next few weeks, we'll be considering those questions and their implication in our own lives:

Arguments with toddlers can be cute. They can also be exhausting. Trying to explain that a frog is not a cat can be absolutely adorable, but in some way, it is also an insult to your intelligence. It is a discussion so far beneath your knowledge that it is something we do not even consider until someone erroneously disputes it.

I can only scratch the surface of imagining how immature our understanding of the universe (much less eternity) is in comparison to God. When world renown philosophers contemplate the "unknowable," I'm sure God becomes as frustrated as we do when debating with a child.

How dare we ever question God? He created the universe. He knows the number of the hairs on our head. He exists in the past present and future. And we, in our finite understanding, dare to challenge his decisions and mandates?

It is wearisome just thinking about it. Let us not be like the Israelites, instead, let us imitate the Psalmist in Psalm 31:14, "But I trust in you, O Lord; I say, ‘You are my God.'"

Let your light shine!
